Friday 24th  April:  Room 4’s Learning.
Choose one or two tasks to complete that interest you.  You might like to start off with the warm up acitivites.
To begin each day, let’s start with the karakia
Warm up activities:
Activity 1:  ANZAC DAY -
Listen to the story on the link below:  It is called ‘Lest we forget”

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=lest+we+forget

It is a story about a soldier's life and life like you and I.
I wonder if you can work out why we make ANZAC biscuits, you’ll have
to listen carefully to the story.
ANZAC biscuit recipe;  You could even have a go at making them yourselves
if someone in your family can help you and you have all the ingredients.
Or you could draw a picture of your favourite type of biscuit.

Activity 2:  This is another fantastic idea from Mrs M.
We are in Kākāpō hub. Over the next few weeks, let's look
at the Kākāpō.  What can you find out about this special bird?
~ Where does it live in New Zealand?
~ What do they eat?     What sound do they make?
~ Why is it critically endangered?

Watch this clip about the Kākāpo.
~ What did you find out?
Draw your own picture of a Kākāpō.
Activity 3: Listen to the story ; The Smartest Giant in Town

Perhaps you could write a card to the smartest Giant in town like
all the animals who he helped did.  You could draw some
pictures to make it a really special card.
Activity 4:
