A flying challenge

We chose to accept this science challenge today.
We were given some eyelets, sellotape, string, an animal, balloons, straws.  We had to see if we could make our animal fly without a human touching it.

Here we are in action...

  • We came up with solutions to make our animal fly.
  • We talked about our ideas
  • We were problem solvers

A video of our paper plane challenge

Things that fly...

We are learning about things that fly.
We saw lots of balloons flying over Hamilton East School this morning and we wrote stories about our own balloons that we made up.  We also made paper planes to see if we could make something that flies...
