Making Bridges

The instruction was:
You have 15 minutes to make a bridge.  You can use anything in the classroom that you like.
This is what our clever students came up with...

Ruben the Road Safety Bear

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Ruben.  Lots of us had already seen Ruben the Bear.
We know that his message is all about road safety. We need to stop, look, listen and link before we cross the road.

Ruben has told us about safety so we can be safe on the road.

The Marae trip

I see the Marae.  Here we go.

We are waiting to be welcomed onto the Marae.

We had to sit down for a long time and wait for the people to speak.  We learnt to be patient.

This man is talking to us about the Marae and welcoming us to Hukanui Marae.

Here we are in the Wharenui (big house).  We thought it was lovely and clean and comfortable and cosy.

There were pictures all over the walls of all the people in the family.

These are panels.

We are listening carefully...

We were really hungry and had our morning tea together.  It was yummy!

We are watching the Kapa Haka perform.  We felt proud of the Kapahaka.

Thank you Whaea Robyn for organising such a wonderful Marae Trip.  We loved it.
