The Parachute

Parachute madness...

We liked the parachute!  It was very fun!

It was floaty, we made a 'mushroom' shape!

Here is our mushroom.  Where is Room 3?  I have lost them?  They are under the parachute....Phew!  Found!

We played a game where we had to swap sides under the parachute while it was floating down.  We also played 'crocodiles'...Our toea got nibbled by a crocodile...Ahhhhh!

We really hope Erin can bring the parachute back another time, we LOVED it!

Firewise

We have been learning all about being safe if there was a fire at home or at school.

We know that it is dangerous to play with matches and lighters.  We must give them to an adult if we find them.

We have been busy drawing flames for our Firewise display.

We know that if there was a fire in our classroom or bedroom, we would GET DOWN, GET LOW AND GET OUT FAST!

If there was smoke in the room, we would crawl out on our knees under the smoke.  At school we know where it is safe away from our classroom.

Operetta 2014

We are lining up at the hall ready to go on for our Dress Rehearsal...It's very exciting!

We have to listen carefully to the music from Room 10's performance so we know when to go on stage.

We are on the stage singing our kiwibird song.

Rooms 3 & 4 raised money for the kiwi and kakapo as part of our inquiry.
We raised money for the kiwi.  Here is our coin trail.  We raised $44 dollars that we will split between the Kiwi and the Kakapo.
Thank you to you all for bringing coins in for our money trail.

Room 3 kiwi birds

We loved these kiwi bird pictures so much that we wanted to put them on our blog. The two drawings are from Room 2.

Getting ready for the Operetta next week, trying on our costumes and masks to make sure they fit.
It's too exciting...

We are having a coin trail on Thursday 11th September to raise money toward a trap to protect the kiwi from predators.

See you all next week for the Operetta!
