Room 4s Spring Art Collection

This is what we did in before we went into lockdown, unfortunately not all the artwork was named, so I had to wait till everyone came back to school to see who they belonged to.
Don't they look amazing?

Kia ora Room 4 tamariki & whānau

I hope you are all safe and well and have enjoyed our strange lockdown holiday these last two weeks, which has not felt like much of a holiday 😢. I'm envious of anyone who managed to get away and I hope you are feeling refreshed.

Online learning starts today and I will send out slides and activities using the Seesaw platform that your child is familiar with using in class, or you may prefer to do these activities. Again, do as much or as little as suits your family's needs and resources. Thank you so much for your support and please message me if you have any questions or have forgotten login details or passwords.

Let's hope we get to level 2 soon!

 Kia kaha

Whetū Ako Reporters

This week we listened to Suzy Cato read Jin's Great Escape, a true story about an otter which escaped from the Auckland Zoo.

Then we put our News Reporter hats on to discover and report what really happened.

Jin the otter has been found alive. Last Monday, three otter’s from the Auckland Zoo made a daring escape. They found a hole and dug and dug and finally they got out of the zoo. Java and Jet went back but Jin stayed out and had an adventure. Jin went from the Auckland Zoo to Rangitoto Island!

by Poppy

On Monday Jin escaped from the Auckland Zoo. He went swimming to Rangitoto Island. The tracker dogs found Jin.

by Quinn

Jin has been found! He went to so many places like Rangitoto Island! Jin, Java and Jeta escaped from the zoo. Someone found Java and Jeta, but they didn’t find Jin. He wasn’t found for a long time. Some people saw Jin but they thought he was a seal. They caught Jin and took him back to the zoo.

by Loleni

Last Monday, Jin and his sisters escaped from the Auckland Zoo. The zoo workers were worried. A ranger found Jin and took him back to the zoo.
