Growing Vegetables

Miss Suze brought some peas from her garden for us to
look, draw, look and sketch in our sketching books.
Then we got to eat a fresh sweet juicy pea! Delicious.

We looked at the strawberry patch.
Some of the strawberries were red
and ripe to eat.

These are beans growing in the
kitchen garden.
They have orange flowers.

The kitchen garden has changed a lot.
There are a lot of vegetables growing.
We like walking on the stepping stones through the garden.

Buddy Reading

Last week we started reading with our buddies in Room 14.

We are going to take our writing books and share our writing. 

We like listening to the big kids read. 

We like having the big kids listen and help us with the hard words.

Little Yellow Digger

This week has been exciting, we watched the garden vanish!

First of all the man with the digger came and scooped up all the trees and dirt.

Next he used a sledge hammer to smash the concrete.

There was nothing left when he had finished!

We liked watching the digger so much we drew pictures

of the little yellow digger at work.

Our success criteria was :

- there is a digger and it is coloured in yellow

- there is someone driving the digger

- there are orange safety cones to keep the children safe

- there is a truck with dirt  piling up in it

-

Meet our Buddy!

 

 We have a new person in our class his name is Buddy Robinson.

We have been having fun learning with Buddy.

Everyone is enjoying reading and working together to read all the words.

 

Room 3 loves choosing time when all the blocks come out.

Buddy joined in making a tall, tall, tall building with the big blocks.
