A busy Friday

Today we decided to become astronauts and we tried 'space ice cream!' Wow, it felt hard and went sticky when we ate it, the flavours were chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.  

After munching on space ice cream we decided to become artists.  We are drawing the Redwood Tree.

Juice making, Popcorn and where does fruit come from?

We are cutting up the fruit to make juice, we also learnt about sweet and sour. 

We had to squeeze the lemons really hard with our squeezer.  The juice came out.

Food Technology

Over the next few weeks we will be looking at food technology, we are hopeful we will find out the answers to the questions the Room 6 children have asked which are listed above…

Our Outdoor Art Exhibition 2017

Wow, what a day, between rain and wind all week, the sun managed to break out for a few hours on Thursday 28th September.  We showcased some beautiful installations of colour, craft and skill.  Every student in the school contributed in some way to our art exhibition.  Below are some examples of what students created.

Every class in the school was responsible for a letter.  The letter formed the words of our school moto, Tu Tangata! Tu Maia! Stand Tall, Reach High!  Students from each class presented their letter in a random order to make the moto.
